On 20 April 2007 the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Adequate Housing, Miloon Kothari, visited the Kennedy Road settlement where Abahlali baseMjondolo, the Landless People's Movement and the Pietermartizburg Flat Dwellers' Movement made presentations to him. The AbM presenters were 3 women and 1 man and they were elected to represent the movement from settlements in Durban, Pinetown and Pietermartizburg. After the presentations the Rapporteur went up the hill for a site visit at the Foreman Road Settlement before returning for a quick lunch at Kennedy Road. With the mud from Foreman Road still on his shoes he went off to visit the city's Housing Department.

Video footage from Fazel Khan, Sally Giles and David Ntseng coming soon.
