Abahlali baseMjondolo held a mass event to mourn UnFreedom Day for third time on 27 April 2008. This year the event was held on the site where the child was killed by the rat in the Kennedy Road settlement in last year. It was attended by Bahlali from across Durban, ‘Maritzburg and Pinetown as well as the new Tongaat branch. Three Bishops attended the event and the Sydenham Police also decided to show up….
