Another Abahlali baseMjondolo Leader has been Assassinated

The treasurer of eNkanini branch of Abahlali baseMjondolo Zweli Mkhize, also known as Khabazela, was assassinated in his branch, eNkanini, in Allandale, Gauteng, on the evening of Thursday 12 February.

He was at the home of a friend, who he regarded as a brother, when two men arrived in a Renault and immediately shot him. He did not die alone.

Khabazela was a very honest and trustworthy leader who was deeply committed to democratic processes and the principles of the movement. He was transparent and had the interests of his community at heart.
