Contrary to one of the lines of slander directed at Abahlali by Inyoka Kakhulu, Mike Sutcliffe (& a few others) the movement has very little money and no money at all for events like this. But people left their families and their homes and came from all over Durban, many staying the whole night and taking the first taxi home or to work in the morning. This struggle is real. People are serious.
