AbM WC Program for Workers’ Day
AbM WC Program for Workers’ Day
While, many workers across the country will be celebrating workers day
across the country. Abahlali baseMjondolo of the Western Cape will use
this day as an opportunity to organise within our communities.
What are we going to do? We will have a walk about within 15
communities that we are working with.
Who is going to do this? 50 representatives from these communities had
been elected to visit all the communities that are attached to our
movement.
Why are we going to do this? ABM-WC always want to walk its talks and
model its alternatives. In our programes we don’t want to look like
ANC government of oppoosition paries or politicians or even SANCO by
going to people during elections. We want to want to show politicians
that ABM-WC is a community based organization and its attached to its
communities and its programess are driven at a community level and we
don’t go to communities only when we organize protests or maches.
About our program: we will meet at our office at QQ informal
settlement at 10: am then from there we proceed to our communities.
