Abahlali to Mourn Unfreedom Day and Celebrate the Strength of the Strong Poor in eMaus.

Once again Abahlali baseMjondolo will mourn UnFreedom Day this year with films, discussions and performance aimed at demonstrating that the poor are not free in South Africa and celebrating the growing strength of Abahlali s struggle, a struggle of the strong poor , even while subject to sustained state criminality. This time the Abahlali branches in the shack settlements, cracked houses and streets traders organisations in Pinetown will host the event. Last year Sutcliffe responded with another rant about foreign donors. He should know that tomorrows event will be entirely funded by its participants.

It will held in New eMaus in Pinetown and will begin at 10:00 a.m. For more information, directions or comment please contact:
