In Joe Slovo the remaining shacks are in amongst the RDP houses. Some residents in the RDP houses vandalized this tap because the shack dwellers, who are Abahlali, depend on it and they ‘wanted the red shirts out’. Mazwi Nzimande stood up to them, he was threatened with a gun. He had no gun. No he has to go to court tomorrow to answer to an assault charge…But the tap still stands and the red shirts remain strong in Joe Slovo.
