Etwatwa residents take to the streets

Residents from Etwatwa, east of Johannesburg, were protesting peacefully against slow service delivery on Tuesday morning, police said.
Constable Timothy Masilela said a group of about 3 000 people were marching to the municipality’s offices in Etwatwa.
“It’s all about service delivery… they say it is very slow,” said Masilela.
“It’s a peaceful march,” he added.
The protesters were planning to hand over a memorandum of demands to a municipal manager on Tuesday afternoon. – Sapa
