Open Letter to Politicians: Lack of services in a community ward 13, Iraq phase two, Zamdela, Sasolburg Free State

Lack of Services

Good day all.

I hope this email find’s you well.

I am a member of Iraq phase two in Zamdela Sasolburg community in Orange
free state.

We are a family of 8 ,my father is 60 years and my mother is 58 both not
working.

My family started staying in a shack, but In 2007 we got an RDP house we
thank our Government for that. However there was and still has a problem.

* There are no flushing toilets, people are creating their own way to
help themselves which is not healthy ..
* There are no roads ,when it rains there is mud all over.
* We have to walk past the train road to get to the other side of the
community in order to get transport.(taxi’s doesn’t want to get to our
town ship)
* There is no draining system when it rains water get into the houses.
* Because of all the above mentioned points houses are getting damaged.
* There is only two clinic in Zamdela and it is far and always full.
* We don’t have the nearest police station.
* We don’t have the public playing grounds, Tennis court, parks or
public swimming pools: which is the reason why today’s youth entertain
themselves with alcohol, drugs and sex only, because there is no hope for
everything.

The reason I am voicing my concern out, is the tendencies that our local
government(municipality) is doing when they are campaigning.

* They come and open holes next to the roads pretending that they will
make roads for us.
* Put pipes next to our houses as if they will make use of them.
8 Making all these sort of promises to people just to win their votes.

Now : question?

* Do you think all the above is right, fair , safe, motivating and
healthy to people?
* Don’t you think that the government is opening a big gap between
people and himself?
* Do you still think that people are motivated to vote again?
Specifically for the ruling party?
* I am talking about BLACK PERSON HERE WHO HAVE ALWAYS HOPED
THAT ONE DAY OUR BLACK PERSON WILL LEAD AND THINGS WILL BE BETTER.
* Think about this 60 year old father who struggled and fought for this
democracy yet he doesn’t know the benefit of it.

My heart get so bitter when I look at my parents and listen to them talking
about our Government it HURTS. This is not about us the children of that
house but those TWO OLD PEOPLE.

My family is not the only one going through this, but the whole community.

On behalf of the community of Iraq as whole in Sasolburg Free state.
Can we please have these attended to, I need help by all means. If this
email is send to the incorrect place .may I please be directed to the
correct direction where I will get answers. I am tired of the meetings that
we normally hold they are helpless.

Regards
Zinengi
