The Struggle Continues at kwaLanga TRAs

Abahlali baseMjondolo at kwaLanga TRAs are protesting against the corruption that is taking place at KwaLanga. The corrupt local committee in connection with HAD are continuing to allocate people in the TRA’s while local people have no place to stay and while they are still waiting for the meeting that HDA promised to have with them. Some of the people that are being allocated TRAs have already been approved to get houses and some of the people already have houses but they are also been given TRAs because they are connected to the corrupt committee.

The police are in the area as we speak. What Abahlali members want is for the HAD to honour their promise and to call the meeting to resolve the issue. Till then the struggle will continue.

Local media in Cape Town are requested to go to the area as the community are fearing that the police might harass them.
