Memorial Service for Nkululeko Gwala – Cato Crest, 30 June 2013

Because of the intense climate of fear in Cato Crest it wasn t possible to openly invite people to the memorial service. There were no posters or flyers and no loud-hailing – only word of mouth. But around 300 people attended the service. Money was raised for the family and for a bus to transport unemployed people to the funeral in Inchanga tomorrow. The comrades with work will cover their own transport costs for the funeral. A number of comrades in the area are staying with comrades in other settlements as they fear for their lives.
